You may require between 20-50 units, depending on what areas you would like treated (Men usually require more).
In this practice Botox™ is only administered by Dr Lopo

What is Botox?

Botox is a protein made in the laboratory that when injected, relaxes muscles so they cannot contract and form a wrinkle.  It is a prescription medicine and is used to improve frown lines that develop between the eyebrows.

How long does it take?

A treatment takes approximately 10-15 minutes.

Will I see the effects immediately?

No.  It takes 3-7 days for Botox™ to take its full effect.  Most patients begin to see an effect in about three days.  The effect continues to increase for the first week or so.

Is there any down time? Can I go back to work the same day?

Absolutely!!

How long does Botox™ last?

Botox™ treatment lasts up to 4 months.  Dr Lopo recommends periodic treatments to maintain the appearance.  Repeated treatment and proper use of some serums (such as the Multipeptide Renewal Serum, or the Rhytid Relaxer) can help prolong the effect.

Is Botox™ safe?

Botox™ Cosmetic is very safe when used for its intended purpose, that is, to smooth wrinkles and produce anti-aging effects in a face.  The dose used for this purpose is very small.

Is there anyone who should not use Botox™ Cosmetic?

Individuals who have ALS or myasthenia gravis or other neuromuscular conditions should not receive Botox™.
